rocky marciano is the gretest boxer of all time, the only hevyweight to retire completely undefeated. his strength and resiliance was too much for even the elite of the heavyweight division (charles, wallcot, louis, moore). no boxer in history can compare to his winning combination of raw strength, stamina, fitness, durability, not to mention a cast iron chin. he beat the best in the best era for heavy weight boxing, he would be at home in any decade because of his nack of wearing opponents down and knocking them out.
So many to pick from but the greatest has to be “Sugar” Ray Robison he was so so good n ho wmany fights he went un beaten, he is truely a legend and a master of the ring and defenitly secures it by beating “The Bronx Bull” Jake LaMotta that many times
tyson is the best
joe calzaghe is the best boxer of his time
he is lightning fast, his punches are bombs and he is a true british hero
joe calzaghe is the gratest boxer at the moment and will be the gratest of all time his lighning speed grate style and classy footwork he is truly one of the best boxing heros
Donnie Orr – Watch for this boxer in the next 2 years….gonna be one of those pound-for-pound best o’ all time.
ricky hattion is the best pound of pound boxer in the world
Joe Calzaghe is the best boxer pound for pound at the moment and maybe ever he got the speed and the power to beat anyone.
well i would never say rocky marciano was a bad fighter but he fought the best fighters at the end of there carees and i read a book a few years ago about him and he actually didnt retire undefeated he was beaten in a fight that apparently was taken off the records but he was a great champion there has been so many great fighters like ali, tyson, jones but one fighter that deserves alot is bernard hopkins he has beaten so many great fighter in his 20 years in the ring roy jones beat him in 94 but roy would never fight him again especialy in 2002 when hopkins challenged him and was fighting so good. bernard has even come outa retirement and fought great but in my opinun and everybody deserves one i think bernard hopkins is one of the best all time fighters
Nobody here has any idea what they’re on about (cept maybe Jack Booth), you shouldn’t comment if you don’t have a solid boxing knowledge. There is absolutely no question at all in any experts mind, Ring Magazine, Boxing Illustrated, boxing journaliosts commentators and pundits, or true fans, that Sugar Ray Robinson was and is by far the greatest boxer to ever live. He is head and shoulders above even the other ATGs that rank below him.
As for the remaining top five places, take your pick from Armstrong, Greb, Pep, Ali, Louis, Duran, Fitzsimmons, Wilde, Cesar Chavez, Leonard, Ray Leonard, Lewis, Hagler, etc
tyson is the best ever the way he went into the fight the way he moved the fighters back with his power.
its a tough call i mean you had people like hagler and jake lamotta that never went down in all those fights, but it is true sugur ray robinson is probaly the best pound for pound boxer of all time he had lightening quick punches and his footwork was supreme he was also champion in a very tough era which makes him an even better fighter, i would also say though that hagler was a great fighter and a very close second he fought all the best and beat them duran hearns brisco and the rest of the best boxers in that era, and he did beat sugar ray leonard but they gave the decision against hagler.
i think it would have to be SUGAR RAY ROBINSON hahnds down. best boxer the world has ever produced!
i think that ryan giggs is the beat although rooney is very close
As i said before, Joe Calzaghe has to be the best boxer EVER, and i mean ever
How many other boxers have been undefeated in 44 profesional fights with countless amateur bouts, and has been the unrivalled world champion for 10 years, and currently hold all three world titles?
oh yes, thats right, NONE
calzaghe is the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, in all time
bring back Marciano, Ali, Ray Leanard, Lewis, Foreman
Calzaghe would beat anyone he was in the ring with
with only one exception, Mike Tyson, who’s monstrous power could put anyone in the world in hospital, but Tyson was not a boxer, he was a mountain of muscle trained simply to hit, he couldnt move, he couldnt box, he could hit, and nothing else
but anyone who can be called a true boxer would lose to Joes mixture of speed, power, footwork and cast-iron jaw
I think that its is between tyson n ali because both boxers in there prime where outstanding fighters tyson moved people with mostly power but ali was so quick no1 could touch him as he said yu can’t hit wot yu can’t see and thts the trueiest words i’ve ever heard. tyson was a pure animal in the ring he scared his opponents he was fast aswell tho sooo it in the balance. TYSON OR ALI
I have to say that in my opinion, i would say that Floyd Mayweather and Roy Jones are probably 2 of the greatest to have ever laced up a glove. There problem is that they are too good or were too good for their own good, and never had the same competition as the likes of Leonard, Duran, Hagler etc. I love that style of boxing and believe that it is the ultimate style that is adaptable to any other styles. I also have to mention James Toney, another unorthadox fighter, who in his prime was incredible at the art of hitting wothout being hit. I think msometimes people get caught up in all the Ali hype, and if he fought say Lewis for instance he wouldn’t of lasted 3 rounds. Its only my opinion, but there you have it, someone different for a change.
definetly ricky hatton one of the best but joe Calzaghe has one more titles then him but hatton is a decent fighter
i think that it is lewis he is a monstourious muscsle bound man with a deverstaing right hand he would have put ali, marciano or calzaghe away within the first round and his huge thighs added to his power. hi humungest chest and bolky arms intimedated the opponnets i think his ringcraft and intellagence was great and he is a true great his sppedy reactions and power punch is the best he has the hardest punch of all time and i should no because i saw him train up an personal. so there easy decesion baby
I think Rodolfo “the sison” Dumlao is the greatest fighter ever. Fights hard, never surrenders, small but terrible.
Has to be HAGLER ,real old time fighter but with outstanding ability ,fitness and ring craft .Remember he was undisputed champion ,not partial,or fake ,ie wbo, etc.Fought no 1 contender every time till there where none left.with TOMMY HEARNS gave us the greatest fight of all time.
I think it’s manny pacquiao because he already beat two of the legendary boxer that list on hall of fame…
Julio Cesar Chavez… absolute class, ferocious pin point accuracy, power, workrate and a fantastic Professional record starting from when he was very young.. Legend.
Dan you’re a dumbass how on earth can you say Tyson can’t move. Joe Calzaghe fought bums and old men. you obviously know nothing about boxing
Muhammed Ali and Rocky Marciano are equally the greatest boxers ever. Their are many other great boxers who i like and admire such as; Louis, Robinson, Cooper, Johnson, Leanord, Calzaghie, Hatton, Mayweather JR, Tyson, Hagler, Hearns, Lammata, Williams, Paquao, Delahoya, Witter, Naz, Durann, Fitzsimonz, and many more lol. But as i say Ali n Marciano r the greatest, my heroes. Ali had unvelievable; speed, accuracy, stamina, foowork, agility, attack and counter punching skills n the heart of a lion as shown when he faught Ken Norton and continued the fight with a broken jaw, he faught 10 rounds and went the distance with a broken jaw. When you see Ali’s fight you see him gracefully dance around the ring throwing fast, powerful and accurate punches and slipping and countering the punches thrown at him. Marciano, he was also greatest, the only heavyweight boxer to retire undefeated he had everything too: speed, power, accuracy, stamina, agility, an unbelievably rock hard chin, and also the heart of a lion who just kept coming forward as shown when he knocked out Ezzard Charles, a feared fighter who cut Marciano’s face open from his eye to the bottom of his nose, yet Marciano faught on with heart and knocked out Charles. These two fighters are the greatest boxers of all times and my heroes, and this is obviouse just by looking at their record. Believe me they r the greatest!!!!!!!
mayweather jr, tyson, lennox lewis, sugar ray robinson and roy jones are the best of the best.
Harry Greb 299 recoreded fights beat more hall of fame boxers then anyone else, among them Mickey Walker, Gene Tunney, Tiger Flowers, Tommy Laughron, Battling Leveanski, Kid Norfolk. Had 44 fights in one year alone and he was out injured for a part of this year. Gave Jack Dempsey such a bad beating in a public sparring session they he was chased out of camp by Doc Kearns. Only person to ever beat Gene Tunney, then got robbed in a rematch, drew one and lost 2 when Tunney was too big for him and all this for a middleweight who was blind in one eye and nearly blind in the other for 5 years of his carreer.
manny pacquiao.no question
